Palestinian Relief Society
A civil, non-profit organization established in 2006 to work in many areas, the most important of which are social, relief, development and health.
Where the association was established in response to the societal and humanitarian need of our people and to be of help to them.
Since its inception, the association has been keen on taking care of marginalized and needy groups and working on implementing development, charitable, health and relief programs and projects
The headquarters of the association is located in Palestine, inside the Gaza Strip, in the center of the large town of Abasan
Note that the association is registered and approved by the competent authorities, the Ministry of Interior under No. (7653), the Ministry of Social Development under No. (9084), and the Ministry of Health under No. (4/2010) Balsam Medical Center.
Balsam Medical Center
Since the beginning of its work, the Palestinian Relief Society has given increasing attention to health activity, because it is a basic demand and need for the Palestinian person. One of the goals of the Society, which it seeks to achieve, is to create a healthy Palestinian society free of epidemics and diseases, and to help members of society, the needy and the poor, in receiving the necessary treatment and medicine, and receiving health care, The Society opened its well-known medical center (Balsam Charitable Medical Center) in 2001 for this purpose, and the center includes the following departments: (General Medicine Department – Dental Department – Obstetrics and Gynecology Department – Pharmacy Department – Dermatology Department – Internal Medicine Department – Radiology Department – Nursing Department – Children’s Department – Laboratory Department – Laboratory Department) where the center, which is located in the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, serves the residents of Khan Younis governorate and receives monthly more than 5,000 treatment cases during the morning and evening work shifts, which extend until ten o’clock at night. The center also works during the official holidays and holidays in order to serve sick all the time. The association seeks to develop the health center in order to meet the needs of patients by providing medical supplies, equipment and medicine so that the center works efficiently and effectively to serve patients.
